GED Testing and
Preparation
GED testing is
available to individuals without a high school
diploma.
The GED is a nationally recognized test battery and
provides
the recipient with a high school equivalency
certificate.
GED Testing Information & Schedule:
- MPCE is an official GED Testing Center.
- There are 5 tests in the complete battery: Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies and Writing.
- GED preparation classes are offered free of charge through Mt. Pleasant Community Education.
- Official Testing Fee is $175.00 ($35 per test).
- Save $100.00 by attending GED preparation classes ($15.00 per test for a total of $75.00)
- For GED preparation you must attend an orientation, pass the GED pre-test, and complete a TABE post test before taking the Official GED test.
- Who can register? Anyone 18 years of age & older who does not have a High School diploma.
- Registration, including payment of testing fees, must be completed by 4:00 p.m. the Thursday before a scheduled test. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT!
- When registering for the test you must show 2 forms of identification which could include drivers license, Michigan ID, social security card, birth certificate, payment stub etc....(One form of ID has to be a picture ID).
- Accommodations for GED testing are available for individuals with documented physical or learning disabilities. Further information on qualifications for accommodations are available at this GED testing center.
- Checks should be made payable to MPCE.
- No refunds will be issued.
