Description:
Our Accelerated Learning Lab utilizes OdysseyWare, a computer-based academic program that offers a large selection of high school courses in English, mathematics, science, social studies and elective courses. Students proceed through the courses at a self-determined pace. Inventory assessments at the beginning of each learning module prescribe lessons in the student’s area of weakness.
In addition to high school completion and credit recovery, a computer-based GED preparation program is available. Like the high school courses, the GED prep courses are prescriptive.
- OdysseyWare courses vary in degree of difficulty and average time for completion.
- Textbooks and other instructional materials may be used to supplement OdysseyWare course work.
- A lab instructor will be present in the learning lab.
- Credit is granted in 1/2 credit increments to student transcript only upon completion of the course requirements.
- Some OdysseyWare courses may be taken on a no-credit basis for remediation of basic skills.
- It is the student’s responsibility to discuss credit recovery courses and credits with their own high school guidance counselor.
- Students may access OdysseyWare lessons from off-site via the internet; all tests must be done in the teacher supervised lab.
Learning Lab Hours of Operation:
September - May
Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Summer School
Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
and Wednesday 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

- High school students from any school district
- GED preparation students
- Adults who wish to earn a high school diploma

August - May: Open enrollment, open lab is available from 3:30pm - 8:30pm M-Th.
